Invisible Orthodontics (Clear Aligners)
Customized treatment plan
Once you choose invisible orthodontic treatment, your doctor will take an impression or a digital scan of your teeth and provide you with a customized treatment plan. The orthodontist creates a 3D digital image of your teeth and uses it to map the different stages of the condition and position of the teeth. In this treatment, all the teeth do not move together.
Invisible braces can be put on and removed
The next step is to get clear aligners. Unlike metal braces, this type of brace does not cause irritation or small cuts inside your cheeks and lips. Once you get the aligners, you should use them 21-22 hours every day. But what makes these braces so much more comfortable than metal braces is that they’re easy to remove, so you can take them off while eating and brushing.
Examination every 4-6 weeks
The doctor asks you to visit the office for an examination every 4-6 weeks to evaluate the treatment process, make any adjustments needed and give you new aligners. Almost always it is necessary to use a retainer at the end of the treatment to fix the teeth in their new position.
